Norton Court Farm is a traditional family farm, setting off on a bold new journey. We are creating a farm where a community of farming enterprises can flourish, while improving the health of the soil and supporting biodiversity.

Our aim is to have a positive impact on community both on and off farm creating a vibrant and resilient food web system.

Norton Growing Space C.I.C will be an inclusive space where anyone with an interest in growing their own food can come. On a regular bus route from Tewkesbury or Gloucester and with plenty of parking we hope to create a thriving community.

Soil is everything to farms, and understanding how it can function as a thriving ecosystem is a central concern for Debbie Wilkins, who leads Norton Court Farm. Born on the farm, Debbie earned a doctorate in biochemistry before returning in 2008. Since then she has led projects to rejuvenate the soil and boost biodiversity both above and below ground.

Dairy is at the heart of our farm. Our extensive system has high welfare standards allowing the cows to graze in the fields for as many days of the year as possible. We also rear all our calves to produce grass fed beef. Future plans are to begin a system to milk with calves at foot.

Our farm has always been a nature friendly farm. We are proud to be custodians of species rich wetland meadows, 43km of hedgerows, a traditional cider and perry orchard, and approximately 8 acres of mature woodland.

If you are looking for land to start your own farming enterprise we would love to hear from you. Pasture chickens, agroforestry, green gyms, market gardens and more are all possibilities on our land.
