There is much talk about regenerative agriculture and its benefits for soil and wildlife. But no one talks about “how to restore community.” Before machines, small family farms were a big part of local life, linking people to their food and the changing seasons. Global food markets have broken this connection. We want our new community growing space to bring people back together locally and welcome anyone interested in growing. We will offer farm walks, hedgerow foraging events, and volunteer chances to help restore nature around the farm.

Community Growing Space

We identified a 3 acre field at Norton court farm, next to the A38, that has easy vehicle access and is on a regular bus route. We would like this to become the  community garden and allotment site.

The farm partnership has secured funding for 85 fruit trees and 96 bird boxes via a countryside capital grant.  We have lots of other ideas for the site including a field kitchen, a peer learning space, communal poly tunnels and raised beds.

A voluntary steering group is being set up to help shape the future of the garden - if you would like to get involved please do get in touch we would love to hear from you.
